JOB DESCRIPTION: SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Donnegan Systems, a growing storage solutions provider with its corporate office in Northboro, MA, is seeking an experienced, high quality new business development sales representative with an outstanding success rate to generate sales in the New England Area. This is a true “hunter” sales role. The position entails identifying opportunities at target prospects and pursuing those opportunities through all stages of the sales process through negotiating and closing. The position reports to the Vice President and carries the responsibility to build business and meet objectives. This position offers a tremendous opportunity within very large marketplaces. Our current clients are some of the largest and most respected companies in the northeast.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Have complete knowledge of Donnegan Systems products and services and be able to comfortably conduct executive-level conversations with senior contacts at prospective and current clients.

· Self-generate leads and opportunities from a strategic list of target accounts.

· Follow-up on leads generated from internal and vendor marketing efforts.

· Secure discovery meetings (initial sales calls) with target prospects.

· Conduct an effective sales call/initial meeting (effectively probe, uncover issues, articulate value, flesh out objections, define next steps, etc.).

· Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of sales opportunities.

· Customize proposals, work deals to conclusion, and provide post-sale support.

· Represent the company at trade shows and other industry events.

· Be proficient in using a cloud-based CRM and regularly update activity and deal status.

· Set schedules and manage time effectively and efficiently.

· Demonstrate teamwork and problem solving.

· Other duties as necessary as would be common in a smaller firm.

The individual must be driven, a positive thinker, loyal and trustworthy. Attributes of flexibility, creativity, self-discipline, strong organizational skills and action-orientation are essential for this role, as the position offers a significant amount of responsibility with accountability for results. Applicant must have strong sales skills, but also be willing and able to “roll-up the shirt sleeves” to get a project done when needed. The successful applicant believes that proactive telephone and email prospecting is still an effective way to identify opportunities and secure meetings with prospects. The person in this role will grow in responsibility as the Company grows.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIRED:

The successful applicant will have experience, contacts, and understanding of sales, and a minimum of 5 years of experience. A degree in Business Administration is preferred and experience in office furniture sales is helpful.
